There’s no better line for what’s on my mind this month.
I’m David, Director of Learning and Development on the ICF Ireland Board, with a particular passion for behavioural coaching. Now in my second year, I’m focused on how we evolve learning together — across two strands:
Surfacing voices from within our network. We’ll keep bringing in high-quality external speakers — and equally, we want to tap into the expertise we already have. Too much of it goes unheard. If you have something to share — a topic, a method, or a piece of practice you’ve been refining — we want to make space for it. The only ask: it’s a learning experience aligned with ICF competencies. We’ll work with you to find the right home — LinkedIn Live, webinar, or in person.
Supporting coaching circles. They’re already doing phenomenal work, and our role is to support and amplify, not to direct. We’ve piloted this with the Team Coaching Circle over recent months — promoting events, applying for CCEUs — and the path is now well worn. We’re delighted to open it up to every circle. Three to four weeks’ notice is all we need, and we’ll bring it to the wider membership.
We’re learning as we go. Your feedback, your contributions, and your good grace are what will shape this into a modern coaching community we can all be proud of.
The spirit behind this message is what brings us together on May 14th at Coaching Le Chéile, our ICW event. The name says it all. Coaching, together — and I really hope to see you there.

Two weeks to go until we come together for our first in-person event of the Coaching Le Chéile, to celebrate International Coaching Week. We are so excited to welcome to you the Digital Hub in Dublin on May 14th for a morning of interactive learning and connection.
We have an amazing line up of speakers and workshops with opportunities to network and refuel sprinkled in.

In an increasingly complex coaching landscape, technical skill alone isn’t enough. The quality of the coaching relationship — and the presence of the coach within it — remains the most powerful lever for impact.
This 60-minute session introduces a Who-centred approach: the distinction between coaching the content of a client’s story and coaching the person within it. Team Coaching Circle Event
Neurodiversity in Team Coaching: Coaching for Every Brain in the Room

Conservative estimates suggest one in five people are neurodivergent. ADHD, dyslexia, autism, dyscalculia and other forms of cognitive difference are present in every organisation, and disproportionately so among founders, innovators, senior leaders and high-performing creatives. That means neurodivergent individuals are almost certainly present in the teams you coach, whether or not they have disclosed it, or are aware of it themselves.
This session is for coaches who want to show up more effectively for their coaching clients. Drawing on lived experience, neuroscience-based coaching, and extensive commercial expertise, ICF-certified coach and founder and President of The Institute of Neurodiversity (ION) Ireland, Hannah Linehan, will offer a grounded, affirming, and honest lens on neurodiversity in team coaching.

June 22nd | 3:00pm–4:00pm | Online Webinar: How Coaches Can Turn LinkedIn Into a Consistent Client Pipeline With Greg Styan
A practical, implementation-focused session for coaches who want to attract and sign clients through LinkedIn — without ads or feeling salesy.
Greg will share how to share insights and stories in a way that builds credibility, optimise a profile to attract ideal clients (not just peers), understand how LinkedIn’s algorithm evaluates profiles before surfacing posts, and apply his Brew360 framework to convert profile visitors into enquiries. There’ll also be live profile feedback in real time.
Greg is a UK-based leadership and performance coach, founder of The Coach Trap, and ranked in the top 1% on LinkedIn for online business.

Coaching in a Thriving World
|

This is the section designed to spark curiosity and offer practical ways to consider the context and challenges of the wider world around us, our coaching and our clients. And in turn, how we can develop ourselves as coaches to have a meaningful impact.
The United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a shared blueprint for creating a more equitable, healthy, and sustainable world by 2030. This month we are highlighting DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging). This is a growing focus from the ICF community to provide a more inclusive space for everyone to belong.
DEIB intersects with the SDGs and in particular connects with Goal 5: Gender Equality, Goal 10: Reduced Inequality, Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and Goal 16: Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions.
DEIB is a complex topic and on the ICF Engage Platform, there is a wealth of training events within the DEIB community. It is a fantastic resource to explore and we’d suggest starting with this trio of core training that will strengthen your coaching presence, broaden your awareness of DEIB and deepen your reflection. These 3 trainings will give concepts and a chance to meet ICF coaches around the world and work together on short case studies to help embed the learning:

Visualization is a powerful language many of us were never taught. Though our brains are wired for visuals, many professionals avoid them, believing they “can’t draw.” Bikablo challenges this: everyone can draw and simple visuals can transform thinking, learning, collaboration.
